What is a Nanobubble ?

A nanobubble is a sub-micrometer gas cavity within a liquid, smaller than 200 nanometres in diameter. Unlike larger bubbles that float and burst quickly, nanobubbles are remarkably stable, remaining suspended in liquids for weeks due to their small size, negative surface charge, and unique surface tension properties. Our NBT generator consistently produces nanobubbles at 100nm and below which is a Gold standard performance outcome compared to other current technologies.

What is a Nanometre ?

A nanometre (nm) is a unit of length in the International System of Units (SI), equal to one billionth (short scale) or one thousand million (long scale) of a meter (0.000,000,001 m) One nanometre can be expressed in scientific notation as 1 × 10−9 m and as 1/1000000000 m.

Harnessing the Power of Nanobubbles

Revolutionising Multiple Industries Nanobubble technology, involving nano bubbles of gases like oxygen, ozone, nitrogen, and CO2, is transforming industries by delivering innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions. Discover a brief overview of how nanobubbles are driving efficiency, sustainability, and performance in the following sectors.

Agriculture

Nanobubbles enhance soil health and crop productivity by improving water quality, increasing oxygen availability to roots, and boosting nutrient absorption. Oxygen and CO2 nanobubbles promote faster plant growth, higher yields, and resilience to stress, reducing reliance on chemical fertilisers. Hydroponics has shown that, oxygen nanobubbles boost root health and nutrient uptake, leading to faster plant growth and higher yields. Ozone nanobubbles ensure pathogen-free water, enhancing system efficiency and crop quality. Rice is a good example: Click here for more information

Aquaculture

In aquaculture, oxygen nanobubbles optimise water quality by maintaining high dissolved oxygen levels, promoting fish health, and accelerating growth rates. Ozone nanobubbles eliminate pathogens and organic waste, ensuring cleaner, safer aquatic environments. Compost

Nanobubbles accelerate composting by enhancing microbial activity through increased oxygen supply. This results in faster decomposition, higher-quality compost, and reduced odours, streamlining organic waste management. Click here for more information

Emission Control

Nanobubble technology reduces industrial emissions by improving combustion efficiency and capturing pollutants. Generating nanobubbles in fuels could make them burn more efficiently, shows study Utilization of bulk nanobubbles to influence combustion characteristics of liquid fuels CO2 nanobubbles can also be used in carbon sequestration processes, contributing to cleaner air and a reduced environmental footprint.

Fertiliser Optimisation

Nanobubbles improve fertiliser efficiency by enhancing nutrient delivery to plants. Oxygen and nitrogen nanobubbles ensure better soil aeration and nutrient uptake, minimising waste and environmental runoff.

Geopolymer/Cement Improvement

In construction, nanobubbles strengthen geopolymer and cement materials by improving mixing processes and reducing air voids. This leads to stronger, more durable structures with a lower carbon footprint.

Golf Course Welfare & Cost-Effective Maintenance

Nanobubbles enhance turf health on golf courses by improving soil aeration, water retention, and pathogen control. This results in lush, resilient greens, reduced water and chemical use, and lower maintenance costs. Click here for more information

Health & Wellbeing

Nanobubble-infused water, enriched with oxygen or ozone, supports health applications such as improved skin hydration, wound healing, and detoxification. These bubbles penetrate deeply, delivering therapeutic benefits in medical and wellness settings.

Hygiene – Pathogen Removal

Ozone nanobubbles are highly effective in eliminating pathogens, bacteria, and viruses in water and on surfaces. This makes them ideal for hygiene applications in healthcare, food processing, and public spaces.

Malting Productivity

Nanobubbles improve malting processes by enhancing water quality and microbial activity during germination. This leads to faster, more consistent malt production and improved quality for brewing and distilling. Click here for more information

Methane Reduction

Nanobubbles reduce methane emissions in agricultural and waste management settings by enhancing aerobic digestion and oxidising organic matter, contributing to climate change mitigation.

Mining Resource Recovery

In mining, nanobubbles improve resource recovery by enhancing flotation processes. They increase the efficiency of separating valuable minerals from ore, reducing energy costs and environmental impact.

Odour Control

Ozone and oxygen nanobubbles neutralise odours in waste management, agriculture, and industrial settings by breaking down volatile organic compounds, creating fresher and safer environments.

PFAS/PFOS Remediation

Nanobubbles, particularly ozone-based, degrade harmful PFAS/PFOS compounds in contaminated water and soil, offering an effective, eco-friendly solution for addressing persistent environmental pollutants. Click here for more information

Salt-Affected Soil Remediation

Nanobubbles improve salt-affected soils by enhancing water infiltration and flushing out salts. Oxygen nanobubbles promote microbial activity, restoring soil health and fertility.

Stormwater Management

Nanobubbles treat stormwater by removing contaminants and improving water quality. Ozone nanobubbles break down pollutants, while oxygen nanobubbles support natural remediation processes in water bodies.

Toxic Waste Management

Nanobubbles facilitate the treatment of toxic waste by oxidising hazardous compounds and enhancing bioremediation. This reduces the environmental impact of industrial and chemical waste.

Turf Management

For sports fields and lawns, nanobubbles improve soil aeration, water retention, and pathogen control, resulting in healthier, more durable turf with reduced maintenance costs.
