Compost Trial
Location: 126 Sandy Creek Road, Yatala Qld.
Date trial commenced: 14 June 2018 at 10:05am
Trial Description: The Trial is being conducted to determine what the effects of oxygenated water has on,• the speed of the composting process;• the odour generated; and • the temperature variation. The samples are turned over once a day.
The samples are sprayed once a day with 5 litres of water as per below.

Temperature
Odour
Note: Odour is measured by olfactory tests which are done by staff at Phoenix. 10 is the worst and 0 is the best. The staff have been amazed at the odour reduction resulting from the application of oxygenated water. Currently they are spraying the entire perimeter of the 50 acre site with perfume, as per the photo below, which is a very expensive process. We then conducted tests on the windrows as per the photo below.
Conclusion.
The results have shown a minimum 33.5% increase in the speed of composting without the use of expensive bacterial agents as well as an on average reduction in odour of 50% across the process.
